EXL EQ 2020 was a golden opportunity to challenge ourselves on various aspects and find the time to stop and think outside the box. Moreover, it helped us to improve our data analysis skills, statistical understanding and also our knowledge on the business front as well. Its been great learning experience for us, Round 1 required good machine learning skills to solve the problem, It was not a straight forward classification problem but required good amount of features engineering .In Round 2 we were to identify the problem faced by company using data and then provide Marketing Strategy for different segments of crowd. It was completely different experience, since this is the first time we were finding out how Data science can be used to strategies and Market your product to target crowd.
Creating numbers from data to develop marketing strategy was very challenging as this involved creation of different metric score and Get data insights from those key metrics to derive problems and strategies for it.
Exl eq gives us the chance to test our Data science and Analytical skills among the top notch colleges of country, I feel great that we reached till final of such a prestigious competition, which boosts our confidence for future

It has been a great ride, so far with EXL EQ, probably being one of the few data-driven consulting competitions available in India. We, as a team, had a great time solving the case (of both Round 1 and 2), coming up with different strategies, debating strongly on what model to use and the extensive research which went to it, have also helped us expand our horizons, as well! The PPOs and the prize have been the icing on the cake, of course, but nevertheless the learning and the fun we had in solving the cases have been much more exciting. I would definitely recommend this as a one-of-a-kind case competition, to everyone interested in Consulting! Really excited and looking forward to the Finale!

EXL EQ 2020 was one of my best experiences I had in a case competition. Having my equal interests in both – Analytics and Case Studies, this competition was a perfect test for my skills. The first phase of the competition was Data Analytics/ML, where not only the efforts was to push the accuracy numbers, but also to implement models in explainable manner – because the second phase required us to present our insights and finding as a case study! Overall, the competition gives an Undergraduate a complete experience of how organizations carry out data-driven insights and the completion of project gives an inexpressible satisfaction. Also, kudos to the team at EXL EQ 2020 for managing the competition in highly organized manner even in challenging times of COVID19. They made sure that the participants get a good end-to-end experience throughout the competition. A highly recommended competition!

EXL EQ 2020 gave me the real insight in the life of a consultant. It was not just my first analytics competition but it was a complete business analytics project in itself. This competition exposed me to the real life problem of a media company. The problem statement and data points provided were well structured and comprehensive. EXL EQ required amalgamation as well as implementation of both analytical skills and business acumen. Most of my time was spent in understanding the provided data points, analysing these data points and then presenting my analysis in an effective and crisp manner. I analysed the European Markets and tried to understand the demographics. The competition exposed me to the utility of tools like Tableau and its effective use in the creation of business presentations. In the whole process of solving this business problem, I discovered various facets of my personality that perfectly map to becoming a refined future analyst. Amidst these uncertain times of COVID-19, the competition was conducted very professionally and the team was always prompt in providing help to the participants
